This meeting has three objectives

1. Firstly, it will be an opportunity for the Partners to take note of the state of play of the EaP Trade Helpdesk intended to facilitate trade flows with the EU and among the EaP countries in support of deliverable 8 of the 20 delivelarbles for 2020. An insight into the new Access2Markets platform will also be gained.

2. The second objective of this Trade Panel will be to raise awareness on the Authorised Economic Operators (AEO) programme in the EU including its benefits and criteria. The Panel will discuss the opportunity for mutual recognition of the AEO programmes of the EU and its EaP Partners. This will cover the various steps the partner country will have to take in order to establish a well functioning national AEO programme with similar benefits and security for traders and the customs authorities.

3. Finally, participants will be informed about the state of play of preparations for the 2021 EaP Summit summing up expectations towards Eastern Partnership deliverables in the area of trade post-2020
