The International Trade Centre (ITC) will present the state of play for their work on the Eastern Partnership Trade Helpdesk.

DG TRADE will introduce the new Access2Markets platform.

  • Mr. Arturas Piliponis – Team Leader EU4DIGITAL facility ( Ernst & Young Lithuania)

EU4Digital initiative will present the state of play for their work on the Eastern Partnership to use digital solution to foster trade: digitally enabled border crossing, e-commerce, and e-transport corridors.

Authorised Economic Operators

 

10.30 – 11.00: Introduction to the EU’s Authorised Economic Operators programme and opportunities for future Mutual Recognition Agreements

This session will introduce the participants to the authorised economic operators (AEO) programme in the EU including its benefits and criteria. The speaker will further develop the various steps partner countries will have to take in order to establish a well functioning national AEO programme with similar benefits and security for traders and the customs authorities.

11.15 – 11.35: Round table discussion on AEO experience and expectations for Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA)

During a round table session partners will be given the possibility to briefly present their national AEO programmes, experience with other mutual recognition agreements, experience with requesting an MRA with the EU and ask questions.

EaP countries are invited to submit questions and remarks in advance with the aim to have these addressed at the event.

11.35 – 12.05: Experience of a Twinning project

  • Mr. Bartosz Gruszecki, National Revenue Administration, Poland. CELBET Cooperation Team Leader

Since 2004 the Twinning instrument is available to some of the EU Eastern and Southern Neighbourhood partner countries. It aims at upgrading the administrative capacities of the public administration of a partner country through the training of its staff and the support to the reorganisation of its structure.

Based on specific Twinning Projects, National Revenue Administration of Poland will share positive experience in using the instrument in cooperation with EaP partners.
