Welcome to Istanbul!
As part of
the work to develop a Common maritime agenda for the Black Sea, the Regional
Stakeholder Seminar on Blue Economy is scheduled on 19 March 2019 in
Istanbul, Turkey. The seminar builds on the national consultations carried out
in various Black Sea countries by the “Facility for Blue Growth” in 2018
and considers the guidelines for regional cooperation on marine and
maritime affairs endorsed in the Burgas
Declaration by all Black Sea countries.
The main objective of the seminar is to
collect ideas about joint and collaborative initiatives and actions at
regional level to feed the Common maritime agenda. It also discuss how
to stimulate involvement of coastal regions and local decision-makers,
entrepreneurs and civil society in the implementation of the agenda.
The seminar is organised with the
support of the European Commission and the Organization of the Black Sea
Economic Cooperation, Permanent International Secretariat (BSEC PERMIS).
