- Scientific conference on 13-14 October 2022
High-level meeting for agriculture ministers of EaP and EU countries will take place in Tartu in conjunction with scientific conference “Circular bioeconomy - a shift towards sustainable food production" and Estonian Agriculture Annual Expo.
The main aim of the ministerial meeting and conference is to debate about the role and possible pathways of sustainable circular bio-economy in achieving climate-neutral economies and safeguarding of sustainable food systems , as well as challenges and opportunities related to replacement of currently mainly imported fossil raw materials with renewable bioresources combining the resilience of ecosystems and economic objectives.
Building the transition to carbon-neutral and bio-based economy with new technology and business sectors will very much depend on scientific advancements, research and innovation, thus the specific objective is to bring viable linkages between research and market actors in order to create new, viable economic sectors and possibilities for value creation
